YOUTH BASKETBALL FAQs

  • What do I need to bring to basketball class?
Wear your MPOWR uniform and bring your own basketball, beverages, & inhaler (if needed) to each class. This applies even to trial classes.
  • How can I prepare for basketball class & practice?
Allow at least 3 hours for your food to digest before training. Build you hydration the night before and the day of training. Be prepared to replenish your body afterwards with minerals and electrolytes, such as coconut water, body armor, alkaline water, and potassium supplements. Mental & physical rest are also important for recovery.
  • I'm interested in your basketball classes. Can my child try it out before joining?
Trial classes are a great opportunity for athletes to get a feel for MPOWR Culture programming and see how we teach. We offer a drop-in option for most programs. Simply select,"pay for this session" in the Payment dropdown during checkout. At times we have free classes. Join the mailing list to know when that is offered.
  • My child missed class. Are there make up classes we can attend?
We do not offer credits for missed classes. Your level of commitment is determined by you. Know that results are produced when you attend regularly and your athlete gives effort.
  • Basketball classes are twice weekly. I can't commit to both days. Can I still join?
Absolutely! If you're unable to join the entire program, you can sign up for once a week OR drop in at your convenience. Beginners basketball programs like the Basketball Academy is not offered once a week. Basketball classes and programs for higher skill levels are.
  • My family is traveling for the summer. Can I attend basketball class for one month only?
Of course! If you know your availability in advance, we can create a personalized pricing plan for you.
